THE INVENTION OF THE ANTI CORROSIVE SPECIAL PAINT FOR Q.I.T. (TRANSTEEL BLUE, WHITE ENAMEL, QAD)

King Rev. Dr. C.J.A. Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited is the true and Statutory Inventors of the ANTI CORROSIVE SPECIAL PAINT FOR Q.I.T., (TRANSTEEL BLUE, WHITE ENAMEL, QAD). The chemical is the product of Letters patent No: RP 13522 of 5th August 1999 An inventor letters. Patent NO. RP 13522 was issued on 5th August 1999 by the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, to Rev. Dr. Clement J. A. Uwemedimo, after being satisfied that an invention had taken place.

This company Comandclem Nigeria Limited took advantage of the Atlantic Ocean, which had been our age-old occupier of the Southern part of the Nigeria Border around Ibeno, now cut into Local Government from the former Eket Local Government Area. This Ocean is packed full of mineral deposits such as salt, crude oil, condensate, liquefied natural gas, sand banks and other convertible Ocean deposits.
In fact, the Ocean if well exploited has the capacity of controlling the overall economy of West Africa in the areas of export and local utility.

DISCOVERIES
About early 1960’s the Petroleum Scientists discovered oil minerals in large quantities in the Ocean. Eket Town was termed the take-off place. The then Military Governor of South Eastern State, BRIGADIER U. J. Esuence (of blessed memory), took interest in the discovery of crude oil and gave moral support to Mobil Producing Nigerian Unlimited who was pushed above all other oil companies. The oil plat form was constructed off - shore. The Town farms were built with prefabricated Floated Transeel Offices, Helicopter field was constructed at Eket and the natives constructed many more buildings for workers and Mobil set to work.

PROBLEMS
The salty water, which was yearly overflowing its banks, proved unfavourable to soil, seeds and plants. It was constantly enlarging itself into the dry land, washing away the arable lands. Due to the high concentration of salt in water, building constructed, steel pipes, steel tanks, light and heavy machinery, vehicles, steel boats, cars, helicopter etc., Were all turned into eye sore all rusting away to ashes within a few months. Under the above situation, Mobil Company was in great distress, as their equipment and pipes were corroded and all the oil drilled spilled out causing pollution.

Sometimes early in 1980, one Mr. Peter Nwa an employee of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited and an uncle of King Rev. Dr. C.J.A. Uwemedimo, informed him as follows:-

That the heavily salty waters at the Q.I.T. and surrounding waters were seriously corroding the steel and metal pipes used by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in their production lines;

That weevils and wood bores were constantly attacking the wood and planks used at the platform;

That wild grasses were attacking the burned walls;

That insect of various kinds were attacking the workers and making the Q.I.T. Most inhospitable;

That the salty waters itself were constantly washing away the coast and the habitable areas;

That the frequent spider webs on the helicopter hangers disturbing hitch free flights and

That the constant rainfall in the area did not allow whatever paint used by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited to stick.

The aforementioned problems made Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited very desperate, as it could not solve them.

After listening to his uncle King Rev Dr C.J.A Uwemedimo informed his uncle Mr. Peter Nwa (now diseased) that his expertise skill and experience could be effectively put to use to solve Mobil Company problems if given an opportunity.

SOLUTION
Because of this on the 2nd May 1980, Rev. Dr. C.J.A Uwemedimo wrote the first letter to the then Operations Manager of Mobil through the said Mr. Nwa arranging a date to interview the senior member of Mobil Company on the problems. The date for the interview was fixed on the 8th May 1980.

SUBJECT MATTER
The subject matters during the interview were:

To discuss the possible solution to high rate of corrosion menace in the overall Mobil construction of crude oil tanks, Automobiles, Steel boats, Machinery, pipe lines to mention just a few;

To research, recommend, check and invent chemicals to preserve wooden menace in the overall Mobil establishment.

To investigate cause, disinfect insects, to enable a bearable environment for an effective take off and operation of the Oil Company.

Suggestion for a research team for the invention of Marine paint and chemical to suit the need.

The interview took place as was proposed. Several “whites” including those who mattered in the company were present at the interview. The three most senior of them were Mr. Harry F. Hawkins, Mr. Tom Lafferty and Mr. G. Walker, the ‘non-whites’ included Dr. Gbim (an Igbo), Mr. Esi and Mr. Okonwo Oju. After introducing his colleagues to King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Mr. Harry Hawkins went on to list the problems of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. These confirmed what Mr. Nwa informed King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo. They later broke up the interview and took King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo on inspection of all the facilities including the platforms, the oil pipes, the oil tanks, etc. The parties reassembled after the inspection. There Mr. Harry F. Hawkins in a manner of disbelieves asked King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo again if after he was shown round the facilities he still thought he could solve the problems of Mobil Company King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo affirmed he could solve the problems. At that point in time the two parties agreed inter alia:-

That Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited must facilitate the solution to the problems by assisting King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited with a few labourers as and when needed and by the use of its helicopters over the creeks and offshore:

That King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo Comandclem Nigeria Limited solve all the Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited problems;

That at each successful invention by King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited of each chemical and each paint, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited would issue Purchase Orders for the purchase of some quantity of each chemical or each paint;

That the Purchase Orders themselves would, since the whole agreement was basically oral evidence an existing agreement permitting, introduction of those chemicals and paints into Mobil Company premises;

That Mobil Producing Nigeria Limited would pay to King Rev. Dr. C. J. A. Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited “ROYALTY” of 2 Dollars ($2.00) for every barrel of crude oil, gas and other products produced by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.

The agreement reached with Mobil was made on fixed term of 2 dollars per barrel/ per article, and it is a minimum rate on Royalty to wit: Intellectual Property i.e. Copyright, according to Patent and Designs, Trade Mark, with reference to ‘The law for writers and journalist, by Gerard Abraham’s MA (Oxon) Herbert Jenkins, London, Chapter Four Copy Right, page 64.

EXECUTION BY COMANDCLEM NIGERIA LIMITED

Upon the agreement by the parties, King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited quickly organized a research team with King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo at the head. The duties of King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited were:

To devise a chemical or a combination of chemicals that would resist the corrosion in the heavily salty waters of Ibeno and its environs.

To devise paints that would aid the devised chemicals act as an indispensable compensable component - paints that would be anti-corrosive and able to stop the rotting and melting away of steels, metals, oil pipes and tanks used at the said oil production.

KING REV. DR. C. J. A UWEMEDIMO, COMANDCLEM NIGERIA LIMITED, accepted and executed the project by organizing a research team including some foreign scientists from International Paints West Africa Limited (I.P.W.A.) and others. The research team was set by comandclem and solely the Executing Company did all the financing. Comandclem Nigeria Limited sponsored all the transportation by road, speedboats and the overall maintenance of the scientists on research who went into the Atlantic Ocean, 50 nautical miles from Ibeno. The whole exercise was borne and financed by Comandclem Nigeria Limited.

True to this MISSION, King Rev. Dr. C. J. A. Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited in 1980 explored the depths of the oceans to make sure that he got the anti of what could have caused corrosion which is an age old characteristic of the oceans.

FIRST SUCCESS
By the permission of the regional manager of Chemical and Allied Chemicals (ICI) and the National Chemicals shell Port Harcourt, the first success was recorded. The wild weed at the Burned Walls carrying the crude oil Tanks were put to control.
Some of the Chemicals used were: -
(i) GRAMAZONC
(ii) PARACOLO, etc.

SECOND SUCCESS
The controlling of pest weevils, rodent and reptiles were successfully achieved so the entry and fearless operation had begun in the off – shore, Town Farm etc. Most of the Chemicals used for the above successes were as a result of Test and Mixtures by the research scientists both National and foreign scientific teams assembled, and financed by Comandclem Nigeria Limited in honouring the almost daily meetings and discussions in reference to the first agreement reached between the two Companies managing Directors; Mobil and Comandclem.

On the 16th May 1980 King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo invented the Anti-Corrosive Paint having devised / formulated the chemicals to solve Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited problems. The King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo named it Mobil Special Transteel Blue, White, Snow White, Enamel oil Q.A.D. later on changed and renamed it ANTI CORROSIVE SPECIAL PAINT for QIT (transteel Blue, White Enamel QAD) in the PIONEER NEWS PAPER of Monday, October 18, 1999 on page 11. The above paints was invented, produced, manufactured and supplied to suit Mobil’s overall needs and was agreed for sole supplies as indicated in the attached Mobil Maiden Local Purchase Order LPO No. Q122498 of 1st July 1980 (SOLE SUPPLIER). The properties and formulae is exclusive to CCNL and the producing company given by reference letter dated 16/5/80 to the IPWA, to the regional manager International paint West Africa to produce on behalf of Comandclem Nigeria Limited to suit the weather conditions at the off – Shore and check all corrosive problems facing Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.

Sample was given to Mr. V. Maduka - a staff of I.P.W.A. On the same day, Mr. V. M. Maduka wrote to the Regional Manager East (IPWA) informing him of the said invention but was doubtful if it could be produced. King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, now an inventor instructed I.P.W.A., as manufacturers, with limited consent to produce the paints.

On the 23rd June 1980 the I.PW.A. Owerri Branch Storekeeper wrote to King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited under the name C&C Company Ltd informing them as follows “Your Mobil Blue is now ready for sample. You are requested to place an order for number of gallons needed today”. I.P.W.A used the sample invented by King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited who were not contractually bound to Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in any manner whatsoever to mass produce the paints that contained the secret formula to resist corrosion.

The inventor, King Rev. Dr. C.J.A. Uwemedimo thereafter placed order for the product as requested by IPWA on the 26/6/80. The product of invention as manufactured by IPWA were delivered to the inventor King Rev. Dr. C.J.A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited, according to the IPWA Delivery Note dated 26/6/80

On the 26th June, 1980 King Rev Dr. CLEMENT JOHN ADIAMIKO UWEMEDIMO, COMANDCLEM NIGERIA LIMITED with joy and happiness wrote to the Area Operations Manager of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, announcing the invention and the manufacturing of the product.

Mobil producing Nigeria Unlimited in line with their oral agreement issued a Purchase Order No. QI. 22498 dated 1/7/80 for the supply of 75 gallons of Anti – Corrosive special paint for Q.I.T (TRANSTEEL BLUE, WHITE ENAMEL, QAD), and also granted the INVENTORS the status of a SOLE SUPPLIER.

On the 2/7/80 Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited by a letter of Mr. Harry Hawkins placed an order for the supply of 75 gallons of the invented paint. On the 24/7/80 Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited ordered through a purchase order No. QI. 22682 75 tins of the invented paint.

Comandclem Nigeria Limited on their part delivered the invented paints to Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. Following king Rev. Dr. C.J.A Uwemwdimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited letter of 26/6/80 and the subsequent deliveries of different kinds of paints and Chemicals to Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, they used same and found them to be a complete answer to their problems. Since then, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited has never denied the efficacy of the invention till today.

This is the only enabling chemical / paint that is used in insulating pipes, machines, and all facilities used by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited till today, which enables the extraction of crude oil, condensate, liquefied natural gas, and gas produced daily. Other Multi-National Oil Companies operating in Nigeria; Shipping Companies, Bristol Helicopter; and other Airlines operatives use same for the coating of their Aeronautic instruments to mention but a few.

It should be noted that King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited invention of the Anti-Corrosive Special Paint, which is NON-CONVENTIONAL, has brought in a NEW ERA of Scientific and Industrial Development in Nigeria, which affects the world positively; yet the source seemed unknown.

Now it is obvious that since 1980, because of the invention, and existence of the Anti-Corrosive Special Paint by, King Rev. Dr. C. J. A Uwemedimo, Comandclem Nigeria Limited, man can build cities both inside and on the oceans and live conveniently by the use of the Anti-Corrosive Special Paint for Q.I.T. (TRANSTEEL BLUE, WHITE ENAMEL, Q. A. D).

At the moment if you go to the high seas, there are cities built both inside, and on the high seas, which are made possible by the existence of the Anti-corrosive Special Paint. With proves to the fact that all the oil prospecting and exploiting companies the world over use this Special Paint as the only enabling chemical, also as a major factor to build and extract crude oil, condensate, liquefied natural gas, and gas produced daily. For instance, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited and other Multi-National Oil Companies operating in Nigeria; Shipping Companies, Bristol Helicopter; and other Airlines operatives use same for the coating of their Aeronautic instruments.

For a long time now we have been deprived of having and enjoying the sole right, sole privilege, exercise the full power and the use of full benefits accruing from our invention. There has been systematic infringement of the letters PATTENT NO RP13522. Others are enjoying and making use of our invention in their businesses, while we Nigerians, the TRUE OWNERS of the wealth are kept in perpetual neglect, isolation, toiling and suffering day and night, without good food, houses roads, medical care, markets, jobs and other sources of income which could enable us educate our children etc.

CLAIMS

Anti Corrosive Special Paint for QIT (Transteel Blue, White Enamel, Q.A.D) are the exclusive discovery of Comandclem Nigeria Limited. The claim is based on the fact that no other chemical company or paint of any other establishment has introduced the ingredient to the Nigeria market. They are purely innovational and new in the history of paint. In qualitative and quantitative analysis, Special Quick Air Dry is of no way compared with any other Anti Corrosive and marine PAINTS ANYWHERE.

This wonderful and special invention of the Anti Corrosive Special Paint for Q.I.T (Transteel Blue, White Enamel, QAD) is the only chemical that stops corrosion on GALVANISED IRON ROOFS, WATER TANKS, INTERIOR SUITABLE FOR DRINKING WATER, and CALVANISED IRON STRUCTURES.

Dr. C.J.A Uwemedimo has founded yet, another organization known as “KING CLEMENT FOUNDATION”, contingent to Royalties and other fringe benefits accruable to Comandclem Nigeria Limited from the invention of the Anti Corrosive Special Paint valued at two Dollars ($2.00) per barrel of products produced daily by Multi National oil Companies Operating in Nigeria since 5th August 1999.

As a true and patriotic Nigerian, who believes in the development and sound economic well being of the downtrodden and less privileged citizens of Nigeria; King Rev. Dr. C.J.A Uwemedimo has since invited any interested member of the general public who shares in his dreams and vision to register with Comandclem Nigeria Limited as a Patentee or Foundation Member as well as a contractor. Successful Candidates for oversea training who are Patentees and members of King Clement Foundation will be recruited and sent abroad on training. On completion they will return and become members of management board of these industries. Comandclem Nigeria Limited will continue with Train The Trainers Programmes.

Registered Patentees who are still interested in the oversea training still have ample opportunity of picking up an application forms at each designated / Zonal Offices nationwide for registration with minimum qualification of First Degree (BSc, HND etc) in any discipline whatsoever from a recognized tertiary institution.
